"You are ultimately responsible for the manner in which you think about things. Therefore, you are ultimately responsible for your feeling experiences. Feelings are choices made by you."

About Charles -

Charles Lawrence Allen is a licensed psychotherapist working in private practice, in Tampa, Florida. Over the years, he has treated individuals with a wide variety of mental health concerns, from all walks of life.

He received a Master’s degree in social work from Florida State University in 1988. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive training and experience in providing psychotherapy.

Charles is a senior clinical associate with Psychological Management Group, PA.  Experienced in providing individual, couple, and family therapy – his particular areas of expertise and treatment include:

  • complicated depression
  • complicated anxiety and panic attacks
  • relationship conflict
  • anger and stress management
  • behaviors that have become problematic, persistent, or maladaptive
  • creating motivation to make difficult changes

His therapeutic approach is based upon a uniquely developed theoretical perspective. This method facilitates an understanding of how one's personal psychology can operate to create either problems, or positive life changes.

Therapy -

His method of providing a quality therapy experience is simple yet effective:

Begin with a discussion to determine what your concerns are, develop a plan to specifically address those concerns, and then carry out that plan to produce the best outcome for you.

There are certain individuals who seem to benefit well from his style of therapy.

Those individuals are:
1) motivated to take an honest look at themselves.
2) willing to do what it takes to create changes that are in their best interest.
3) committed to attend planned sessions on a regular basis.

Sessions are billed at $120 per hour payable at the time of the appointment by cash, debit, or credit card.
